Newcastle United considering Moise Kean swoop

Newcastle United are reportedly keen on signing 25-year-old Italian striker Moise Kean from Serie A club Fiorentina in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Give Me Sport, Newcastle United want to add more quality and depth to their attacking unit, and they have identified Moise Kean as a target. However, the Tyneside outfit will face competition from Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United for his signature.

Kean has been outstanding this season, and he has 21 goal contributions in all competitions. The Italian international has played in the Premier League before with Everton, but he did not manage to showcase his true qualities back then. The player might feel that he has unfinished business in English football, and he could be attracted to the idea of joining an ambitious club like Newcastle United.

The Magpies are among the wealthiest clubs in the world, and they have an ambitious project. They have put together a talented squad as well. Newcastle United are currently pushing for UEFA Champions League qualification and if they manage to finish in the top four, they will be an attractive destination for most players. It will be interesting to see if they can negotiate a deal with Fiorentina for the striker.

Tottenham and West Ham eyeing Moise Kean move

Tottenham are keen on the player as well. However, they spend a substantial amount of money on Dominic Solanke last summer, and it would be quite surprising if they decided to bring in another striker in an expensive deal. Spurs need to improve the other areas of their squad as well, and they will probably look to bring in bargains as far as the attacking unit is concerned.

West Ham United are in desperate need of a quality striker as well. Niclas Fullkrug joined the Hammers last summer, but the German has struggled with persistent injury problems. They are lacking a reliable goalscorer, and Kean could transform them in the attack. He could form a quality partnership with Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus in the final third.

It will be interesting to see which of the three English clubs manage to get the deal done. Newcastle United star Alexander Isak has been linked with a move away from the club, and it will be interesting to see if the Magpies are willing to let him leave. The Italian striker could be the ideal replacement for the Swedish international if that happens.
