Chelsea make enquiry for Alejandro Garnacho

Chelsea have reportedly made enquiries for Alejandro Garnacho as the winger fits their profile, with Manchester United’s stance still unclear.

According to The Athletic, Alejandro Garnacho has emerged as a target for Chelsea, with the London side making enquiries for the highly-rated Manchester United prospect. The Argentine winger has been the subject of speculation leading to this day, as he is under serious consideration at Stamford Bridge.

At the end of the summer window, Chelsea made a big move for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho to strengthen their wings. The Blues have come knocking on the doors of Old Trafford once again, as they are now interested in signing Alejandro Garnacho.

The highly-rated Manchester United prospect has been the subject of transfer speculation as there were some suggestions that he’s not seen as important by Ruben Amorim. The Argentine has the interest of many clubs outside of England, with Italians Napoli and Juventus among those keeping tabs.

However, he is now the subject of an enquiry from Chelsea about his availability, with Manchester United’s stance still unclear. Garnacho has been reduced to a secondary attacking player under Amorim, although he has started the last two games. Manchester United are in a transition period and could make some unpopular decisions, such as the sales of important young stars, to balance their act.

Manchester United have reporteldy rejected a bid from Napoli so far, which does indicate that as a club, they continue to rate Garnacho. However, for the right offer, they might consider it, although their stance on the forward’s immediate future remains unknown.

Alejandro Garnacho suits Chelsea’s requirements

Chelsea are insistent on signing some of the best young profiles from around, and Garnacho fits their mould. They are also keen on Jamie-Bynoe Gittens from Borussia Dortmund, with the report stressing the fact that both 20-year-olds are under serious consideration at Stamford Bridge.

Should Chelsea make a big offer, Manchester United might even consider a sale, provided the money can be used to strengthen Amorim’s squad. The Red Devils are in the market for reinforcements, although with the money cut short, a big sale might help them balance their act in the window.
