Jonathan David offered to Tottenham after failed Randal Kolo Muani chase

Tottenham will have the opportunity to seal a cut-price move for 25-year-old Canadian international Jonathan David after failing to sign Randal Kolo Muani.

According to a report by Give Me Sport, intermediaries have offered Jonathan David to Tottenham Hotspur. The Lilywhites were keen on signing Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain but have lost the race to secure his services to Juventus. So, the LOSC Lille striker’s representatives have offered the Canadian international to the Premier League club.

The rise and rise of Jonathan David

Jonathan David has been one of the best players in Ligue 1 since joining LOSC Lille from KAA Gent in August 2020. The player has gone from strength to strength in the last four and a half years, with Les Dogues’ fortunes depending on his form every season.

The 25-year-old has been exceptional thus far this term, contributing to 23 goals in 29 outings across all competitions by finding the back of the net 17 times and providing six assists. However, David has left LOSC Lille in a spot of bother after entering the final six months of his contract with the Ligue 1 club.

The Canadian striker’s situation has piqued the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. However, a move to the Premier League might be on the cards for the Lille attacker, with Tottenham Hotspur among his prospective suitors for the winter transfer window.

London calling?

Intermediaries have offered Tottenham Hotspur the opportunity to sign Jonathan David in the winter transfer window. However, the LOSC Lille striker already features on the North London club’s wishlist. So, the move by David’s agent might kick Tottenham into action to secure his services this month.

The Lilywhites were keen on signing Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, and they hoped to secure the deal for his signature last week. However, they have lost the battle, with Juventus on the cusp of landing the French international. So, David’s representatives have offered his services to Tottenham.

While Dominic Solanke is the first-choice striker at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Ange Postecoglou wants more firepower for the second half of the 2024/25 season. So, it will not be surprising to see the North London club launch the offensive to secure his services this month.
