Predicted Manchester United lineup against Arsenal: Yoro in for de Ligt; Bayindir set to start

Altay Bayindir will replace Andre Onana between the sticks when Manchester United and Arsenal clash at the Emirates in the FA Cup third round on Sunday.

Manchester United will be eager to secure a safe passage to the FA Cup fourth round when they lock horns with Arsenal in a third-round tie at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon. And Ruben Amorim does not have any new issues to worry about ahead of his side’s latest fixture.

Marcus Rashford has recovered from the illness that forced him to miss the game against Liverpool last weekend. However, the exit-linked English international has not travelled to London with the squad and will unlikely take on Arsenal on Sunday.

Luke Shaw (calf), Victor Lindelof (knock), and Mason Mount (hamstring) remain on the sidelines. Meanwhile, during his pre-match press conference, Amorim confirmed Altay Bayindir would return to the starting lineup for Sunday’s FA Cup clash.

The Manchester United manager said, “I don’t rotate because I want to rotate. I’m trying to find the best solutions to win the game. I put the guys in who are more fresh to cope with the demands of the game. The goalkeeper position is different, so it’s a good question. Altay will play.”

Meanwhile, Amorim also provided a fitness update on the injured players in a conversation with the club media, saying, “Vic [Victor Lindelof] continues out, Jonny [Evans] continues out. Amad has a little injury but I think he can recover. Luke Shaw continues his improvement, Mason Mount also. The rest are strong to compete for a place and to play again.”

Despite Amad Diallo’s fitness concern, the in-form playmaker should retain his spot in the starting lineup. The Ivory Coast international will join Bruno Fernandes and Rasmus Hojlund in the final third, with the latter leading the line for Manchester United against Arsenal. The midfield duo should also remain unchanged, with Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo pairing up in the middle of the park.

Altay Bayindir will take his spot between the sticks, with the away side lining up in a 3-4-2-1 formation in front of him against Arsenal on Sunday. The central defensive unit will feature Leny Yoro, Harry Maguire, and Lisandro Martinez, with Yoro replacing de Ligt. Finally, Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot will be the two wing-backs for the Red Devils.

Predicted Manchester United XI: Bayindir; Yoro, Maguire, Martinez; Mazraoui, Ugarte, Mainoo, Dalot; Diallo, Bruno Fernandes; Hojlund
