Middlesbrough will reportedly demand an eight-figure price of £15 million to sell 26-year-old Ivorian attacker Emmanuel Latte Lath, a target for West Ham United.
According to a report by Football Insider, Emmanuel Latte Lath is the subject of interest from West Ham United, and the Hammers know how much it will take to land the Middlesbrough attacker this month. The EFL Championship club will demand around £15 million to part ways with the Ivory Coast international in the winter transfer window.
The Emmanuel Latte Lath success story at Middlesbrough
Emmanuel Latte Lath has been a solid performer since joining Middlesbrough from Atalanta in August 2023. The Ivorian striker was with Atalanta since his youth career but could not establish a foothold in the first-team squad at the Serie A club, managing only 88 minutes of game time across three appearances for La Dea.
However, the 26-year-old has landed on his feet since joining Middlesbrough, coming leaps and bounds in the last 18 months. The African attacker has enjoyed a solid second season with Boro thus far, contributing to 12 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions by finding the back of the net ten times and providing two assists.
Meanwhile, Latte Lath’s progress at the EFL Championship club has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. A winter move to the Premier League might be on the cards for the Ivory Coast international, with West Ham United among his prospective suitors.
Premier League move on the horizon?
West Ham United’s interest in Emmanuel Latte Lath is understandable. The Hammers have been scouring the market for a striker heading into the winter transfer window. Michail Antonio is out indefinitely after recently being in a scary accident. Meanwhile, Danny Ings is a peripheral figure at West Ham, while Niclas Fullkrug has struggled to stamp his authority since arriving from Borussia Dortmund.
So, several strikers, including Arthur Cabral, have emerged on West Ham United’s radar, with Latte Lath also a viable target. The Hammers now know how much it will take to land the Ivorian forward, with Middlesbrough demanding around £15 million to part ways with him.
The EFL Championship club’s eight-figure asking price for the 26-year-old Ivory Coast international should be affordable for West Ham. So, it will be interesting to see if they cough up £15 million to land the African attacker, although they will face stiff competition from Ipswich Town and Leicester City.
