Aston Villa will reportedly try to sign versatile 25-year-old Spanish defender Oscar Mingueza from La Liga club Celta Vigo this month.
According to an update by Spanish journalist Marcos Benito on El Chiringuito TV, Oscar Mingueza is the subject of interest from Aston Villa. The Villans have been scouring the market for a right-back heading into the winter transfer window. So, the Celta Vigo defender has emerged as a target for the West Midlands outfit.

Oscar Mingueza has resurrected his stuttering career since joining Celta Vigo from Barcelona on a free transfer in July 2022. While the Spaniard was hot off the blocks at the Catalan club, his stock gradually fell before he departed from Camp Nou two and a half years ago.
However, the 25-year-old has steadily built his reputation during his spell with Celta Vigo, coming leaps and bounds in the last two and a half seasons. Mingueza has turned out nearly 100 times thus far for the Galician outfit while chipping in with four goals and eight assists.
The versatile Spanish defender’s progress at Celta Vigo has piqued the attention of Luis de la Fuente, and he might soon earn regular call-ups to his national squad.
