Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing 25-year-old Egyptian international Omar Marmoush from Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.
According to a report from Caught Offside, Arsenal are ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool in the race to sign Egyptian international Omar Marmoush from Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt. The Gunners have established contact regarding a move for the productive forward.
Marmoush has 27 goal contributions this season, and he has established himself as one of the best players in European football. He could prove to be a quality acquisition for the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Arsenal need a quality striker at their disposal who can find the back of the net consistently. Gabriel Jesus has not been able to score goals consistently, and they need a prolific striker if they want to win the trophies season after season. It will be interesting to see if they can secure an agreement with the Bundesliga club over the Egyptian striker after establishing contract regarding a move.
Chelsea could use a reliable goalscorer as well. They have been overly dependent on Cole Palmer, and they need another prolific goalscorer. Nicolas Jackson has shown improvement this season, but the Blues need better players if they want to compete for major trophies.
So, Omar Marmoush would be the ideal acquisition for them, and it remains to be seen whether they can get the deal done. The 25-year-old is more than just a striker and he will help create goalscoring opportunities as well.
Liverpool need to replace Salah in summer
As for Liverpool, they need more attacking depth. Darwin Nunez has not been able to score goals regularly, and he will need to be replaced in the summer. Liverpool need top-class players at their disposal if they want to fight for major trophies regularly. Signing a reliable goalscorer would be ideal for them, with Omar Marmoush emerging as a viable target.
Furthermore, Mohamed Salah will be out of contract in the summer, and he is yet to sign an extension with the club. If he decides to move on, Liverpool will need to replace his end product. Signing a prolific goalscorer would be ideal for them. The Egyptian international is unlikely to be a cheap acquisition, and he could cost a premium for all three clubs.
