Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City keen on Adam Wharton

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are ready to push hard for the signature of Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton.

Adam Wharton’s future has become a massive talking point with Crystal Palace finding it difficult to get positive results. The English midfield sensation could be on the move to a bigger club in the near future.

According to a report from CaughtOffside, Wharton finds himself on the wishlist of Arsenal, Liverpool as well as Manchester City thanks to his impressive rise since moving to Selhurst Park.

Wharton came up the ranks at Blackburn and made quite a name for himself while playing for their first team before securing a move to Palace at the start of 2024. He quickly established himself in the team and his impressive performances helped him secure a place in the England team for Euro 2024.

He is already a mainstay at Palace and has featured in 10 games this season. While the 20-year-old English international is a key figure in the Eagles’ first team, his future is uncertain as the team haven’t been at their best of late.

Will Wharton leave Palace in January?

Wharton could soon be on the move to a bigger club as Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool are all keen on his signature. The Gunners have already held some talks over signing him as they look to bolster their midfield while the other two have been closely monitoring his progress.

Mikel Arteta wants to bring in a new number six, Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi is one of the names on his wishlist along with Wharton. The Gunners are looking to strike a deal worth around €55 million but the Eagles would want around €65 million to part ways with one of their biggest talents.

City are also keen on his signature as they are looking to bring in a replacement for the injured Rodri as soon as possible. Wharton could be a great signing for the short as well as the long run. As a result, Pep Guardiola’s team are ready to invest in him.

While Zubimendi has been on the wishlist of Liverpool since the summer, they are also looking at Wharton after the Real Sociedad star decided against moving to Anfield in the last transfer window. All three clubs will find it difficult to sign him in the upcoming transfer window as Palace won’t want to lose out on one of their best players mid-season.
