Crystal Palace, Fiorentina, and Juventus are keen on signing 29-year-old Argentine forward Angel Correa from La Liga club Atletico Madrid, with the Eagles in the pole position.
According to a report by Italian outlet Tutto Juve, Angel Correa is the subject of interest from Crystal Palace. Fiorentina and Juventus are also keen on signing the versatile attacker from La Liga giants Atletico Madrid. However, the Eagles lead the race to secure the services of the 29-year-old forward.
The Angel Correa story
Angel Correa has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Atletico Madrid from San Lorenzo in January 2015. The South American attacker is closing in on completing a decade at the Spanish club but has seen his stock plummet in the last 12 months.
The 29-year-old was part of the squad that won the 2022 FIFA World Cup but has seen his game time whittle down at the club level. Correa has managed only 667 minutes of game time across 18 appearances in all competitions, chipping in with three goals and one assist.
Meanwhile, the Argentine international will enter the final 18 months of his contract with La Liga giants Atletico Madrid in January. However, Correa’s stock in the market is high, with Crystal Palace among the prospective suitors vying for his signature ahead of the two transfer windows next year.

Crystal Palace’s interest in Angel Correa is understandable. The Eagles are scouring the market for a versatile attacker heading into the January transfer window. While Ismaila Sarr has struggled to stamp his authority since arriving from Marseille this past summer, Jean-Philippe Mateta faces an uncertain future at Selhurst Park.
So, several candidates, including Oumar Diakite, have emerged on Crystal Palace’s radar. However, Correa is also a viable target for the South London club, considering he can play across the frontline. Meanwhile, the report has suggested that the Eagles are in the pole position to sign the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner from La Liga giants Atletico Madrid next year.
