Barcelona will not entertain any bids to part ways with 21-year-old breakout star Marc Casado, with the Spanish midfielder attracting many bigwigs.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Marc Casado will not leave Barcelona anytime soon after becoming a mainstay in the middle of the park for Barcelona in the 2024/25 season. The Catalan giants have shut the exit door on the 21-year-old breakout star, with a loan exit not on the cards either.
The rise and rise of Marc Casado
Marc Casado has seen his stock soar under the tutelage of Hansi Flick. A native of Sant Pere de Vilamajor, the Spaniard spent his formative years in his homeland and has been with Barcelona for nearly a decade. The Blaugrana signed him from CF Damm in July 2016, and the youngster progressed through the ranks at La Masia before breaking into the first-team squad.
The 21-year-old made his first-team bow for Barcelona in November 2022, with Xavi Hernandez promoting several young prospects. However, Casado had to bide his time before becoming a mainstay in the middle of the park for Barcelona, with Hansi Flick bringing the best out of him this season.
The Spanish midfielder has amassed over 1,000 minutes of game time in 15 appearances across all competitions thus far this season while chipping in with five assists. Casado’s exploits for FC Barcelona have helped him break into his national side, with the highly-rated midfielder earning his debut for Spain this month.

It is hardly surprising that Casado is a target for high-profile clubs. With the Spaniard showing tremendous potential under Flick, he can be a viable long-term solution in the middle of the park for any club. However, a departure from the Catalan club is not on the cards for the Barcelona academy graduate.
