Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt will only sell Hugo Larsson next year for an “immoral offer” amid his links with Arsenal and Liverpool.
According to a report by German outlet Sport BILD, Eintracht Frankfurt will prefer not to sell Hugo Larsson in the January transfer window. However, Die Adler will be open to cashing in on the youngster for an “immoral offer”. Meanwhile, Arsenal and Liverpool are keen on signing the 20-year-old midfield prospect from the Bundesliga club next year.
The rapid rise of Hugo Larsson
Hugo Larsson has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the Bundesliga since joining Eintracht Frankfurt from Malmo FF in July 2023. A native of Svarte, the Swede spent his formative years in his homeland, passing through the academies at three clubs and graduating from the youth division at Malmo FF.
The 20-year-old has been a breath of fresh air at Eintracht Frankfurt, going from strength to strength in the last 16 months. Larsson has turned out over 50 times thus far for Die Adler while chipping in with five goals and three assists.
Larsson’s progress at Eintracht Frankfurt has helped him break into his national side, with the young midfield prospect making eight appearances for Sweden. Meanwhile, the Swedish midfielder’s exploits have not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe, including Arsenal and Liverpool.
Premier League move on the horizon?
Arsenal’s interest in Hugo Larsson is understandable. The Gunners are keen on reinforcing their midfield department next year, with Thomas Partey and Jorginho facing an uncertain future at the Emirates. So, the Eintracht Frankfurt prospect has emerged as a viable target for Arsenal.
As for Liverpool, the Reds are keen on bolstering their midfield unit next year by signing a versatile midfielder. Wataru Endo faces an uncertain future at Anfield after struggling for game time under Arne Slot. So, Larsson is an option worth considering for Liverpool. However, Eintracht Frankfurt will only consider selling the Swede for an “immoral offer”.
Recent reports have claimed that the Bundesliga outfit will prefer not to sell Larsson in either transfer window next year. However, it will be interesting to see if Arsenal and Liverpool present an “immoral offer” to land the 20-year-old Swedish international.
