Real Madrid eyeing €110 million Warren Zaire-Emery swoop

La Liga champions Real Madrid are reportedly ready to cough up €110 million to sign 18-year-old French wonderkid Warren Zaire-Emery from Paris Saint-Germain.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Warren Zaire-Emery is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. The reigning La Liga champions want to reinforce their midfield department in the 2025 summer transfer window and have set their sights on the Paris Saint-Germain prodigy. While the Merengues are ready to cough up €110 million to sign the young French whizkid, the Ligue 1 heavyweights do not want to part ways with him next year.

The swift rise of Warren Zaire-Emery

Warren Zaire-Emery has established himself as one of the best midfielders in Ligue 1 since breaking into the first-team squad at Paris Saint-Germain. A native of Montreuil, the Frenchman began his youth career at FCM Aubervilliers but has been with PSG since 2014.

The 18-year-old has come leaps and bounds in the last decade and has become a mainstay in the middle of the park for PSG. Zaire-Emery has already turned out nearly 100 times thus far for Les Parisiens while chipping in with six goals and seven assists.

In addition, Zaire-Emery has broken into his national side, making five appearances for France while also scoring his first goal. Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. Real Madrid will be one of his prospective suitors in the 2025 summer transfer window.

La Liga move on the horizon?

Real Madrid’s interest in Warren Zaire-Emery is understandable. The reigning La Liga champions are scouring the market for a creative midfielder heading into the 2025 summer transfer window. Toni Kroos’s absence has hurt Real Madrid this season, with chances coming at a premium.

So, the Merengues want to address the problem next summer, with several candidates, including Florian Wirtz, emerging on their radar. However, Real Madrid will face stiff competition from many European bigwigs for the German international, with Bayern Munich in the pole position. So, Zaire-Emery is a viable alternative, with Los Blancos ready to cough up €110 million to land him.

However, prising the 18-year-old French international away from PSG will be a tall order, with Les Parisiens not ready to part ways with him next year. While €110 million will be a lot of money, PSG’s financial situation is healthy. So, a move for the Frenchman will unlikely see the light of day in the 2025 summer transfer window.
