Liverpool and Manchester City are reportedly keen on signing 20-year-old Spanish attacker Samu Omorodion from FC Porto.
Samu Omorodion did quite well at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the summer, with Spain winning the gold medal. The youngster joined FC Porto from Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window. According to Fichajes, Liverpool and Manchester City are keen on bringing the 20-year-old to the Premier League, with Paris Saint-Germain also involved in the three-way battle.
Omorodion is highly rated across Europe, and he has a bright future. The 20-year-old has the physical and technical attributes to do well in English football, and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for the two English clubs. The Spaniard was linked with Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool could certainly use more depth in the offensive department, especially if Mohamed Salah moves on in the summer. The Egyptian will be a free agent in 2025, and Liverpool need to start planning for life after him.

Manchester City keen on Omorodion
Defending Premier League champions Manchester City are keen on Omorodion as well. They need a quality alternative to Erling Haaland, and the 20-year-old certainly fits the profile. He will add goals and creativity to the side, and the Spanish attacker could share the goalscoring burden with Haaland as well.
Both Liverpool and Manchester City have the financial muscle to get the deal done, and it will be interesting to see if they follow up on their interest with an official proposal to sign the attacker in the coming months.
