Arsenal, Chelsea in transfer tussle to sign Reda Belahyane

Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in Hellas Verona midfielder Reda Belahyane, with Inter Milan currently in the lead.

According to Inter Live, Arsenal and Chelsea are ready to battle Inter Milan for the signing of midfielder Reda Belahyane. The Hellas Verona star could be prepared for a big switch, as he might be faced with a difficult decision to choose between staying in Serie A or moving to the Premier League.

Reda Belahyane is making a name for himself in Serie A following an impressive string of performances this season. The order of things in Serie A is usually to make a big move to one of the top clubs and then take it from there.

In Belahyane’s case, he is already. making a case for himself, as Inter Milan are chasing for his signature. The Nerazzurri are looking at him as a potential replacement for Kristjan Asllani, who needs to get more opportunities in Simone Inzaghi’s midfield, with the Albanian attracting some interest from England.

English clubs are also chasing Belahyane, as Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping close tabs on the 20-year-old midfielder’s progress at Hellas Verona. He has been good for the mid-table side in Italy and may take the opportunity if a big club arrives at his doorstep.

Arsenal and Chelsea are considering moves for the midfielder, with either team’s transfer policy dictating the need to buy young. The Blues have invested quite heavily in talents of a lower age profile and could monitor Belahyane’s performances this season before making a move next summer, and the same goes for the Gunners.

Will Belahyane move to England?

There is always the element of Serie A players preferring to move within the league rather than leaving for a club abroad. The Premier League does have its appeal, and Belahyane will know of interest coming from there. Chelsea have kept tabs for some time, and Arsenal’s attention will also raise his hopes.

However, should a club like Inter Milan come into the equation, he might give a lot of thought to moving to San Siro, where AC Milan is also interested. Hence, there is always the element of doubt about the 20-year-old midfielder moving out of Italy, which could boost the Nerazzuri’s hopes.
