But, according to a report from Fichajes, the Colombian international is focused on doing his best for Aston Villa for the time being.
Duran made the move to Aston Villa at the start of 2023 after making a name for himself at Chicago Fire in Major League Soccer. The 20-year-old has quickly adapted to life in the English top flight. While he had limited game time until last season and was even linked with a move away from the club, the young forward is making the most out of the opportunities he is getting this season.
The South American attacker has scored six goals in his nine outings, while he has only started in one of those fixtures. The Colombian striker has been on fire, and his performances have not gone unnoticed. Duran now finds himself on the wishlist of quite a few top clubs, and Arsenal are one of them.
Arsenal keen on signing Duran
The Gunners’ search for a new striker is still on as they failed to secure the services of their top target Benjamin Sesko. They are looking at Duran as an ideal alternative. The Aston Villa star has already proven himself in the Premier League and looks destined for greatness.
The 20-year-old is a clinical finisher, he has an eye for goal and has a strong physical presence. He has everything that Mikel Arteta is looking for in a new striker. The Gunners are looking to go all out for the young forward whose value is going uphill at an incredible pace.
With the North London club keen on his signature, a possible transfer could cost around €70 million. Apart from his sensational form, his potential is what attracts Arsenal, who are looking to rejuvenate their attack. Meanwhile, Duran is completely focused on doing his best for Aston Villa and is not really thinking about a move at this stage. But, given his potential, he will be a huge talking point next summer.
