The Red Devils are keen on bolstering their central defensive options next year, with the Aston Villa mainstay emerging as a target. They are preparing a bid worth €50 million to prise the Spanish international away from the West Midlands club.

Pau Torres has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League since joining Aston Villa from Villarreal in July 2023. The Spaniard hit the ground running at Villa Park, almost immediately establishing himself as a pivotal figure for the West Midlands club as they clinched a top-four finish last season.
The 27-year-old has continued performing at a high level in the 2024/25 season, turning out eight times across all competitions thus far while chipping in with one assist. Meanwhile, Torres’s exploits for Aston Villa have not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs.
