Manchester United set to intensify efforts to sign Antonee Robinson

Manchester United are ready to push ahead in their pursuit of Antonee Robinson and beat their rivals for the Fulham left-back.

According to Give Me Sport, Manchester United are prepared to step up their pursuit of Antonee Robinson ahead of the next window. The Red Devils are aware of the growing interest from Premier League rivals in the Fulham left-back, with Liverpool and Chelsea also keen.

Antonee Robinson has made himself a big name in the Premier League over many years in English football due to his consistent availability. The latter might be a commodity that attracts big clubs to him, as there were considerable links in the summer window.

Since arriving at Fulham from Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2020, Antonee Robinson has barely missed games, as he has been available for most of the season year after year. Moreover, he has been posting consistent performances for the Cottagers, which has led to teams like Chelsea looking at him during the previous window.

Fulham had placed a £40 million price tag on the left back, who has four more years left on his £50,000-a-week deal at Craven Cottage. Hence, the West London club are in total control if they enter into negotiations with suitors in the future.

The Blues are keen to replace Ben Chilwell when the January window opens. Liverpool and Manchester United are also keen, with the Merseysiders in particular looking at him as a potential long-term addition, either to replace Andrew Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas. Those interested parties are now pushing Manchester United into action as they ponder making an approach in January.

Manchester United are pushing for Robinson

Manchester United clearly need a left-back who could make himself available at all times during the season. The Red Devils are indeed interested in Robinson ahead of January. They are mulling over bringing in a full-back on the left side, as their current options, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, have thoroughly disappointed with their dreadful fitness records.

Hence, the Red Devils could make a move for Robinson when the January transfer window opens. Manchester United are not willing to match Fulham’s £40 million price tag, although, with an early approach, they could well have the upper hand over their rivals in negotiations with the Cottagers.
