A trio of Premier League giants are willing to match Barcelona’s asking price of €90 million for key defender Ronald Araujo.
According to Fichajes, at least three big Premier League teams are willing to fork out €90 million to sign Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo. The Uruguayan defender could leave the Blaugrana, as his situation at the club is not stable, according to reports, and the Catalan giants are also in need of big-money sales.
Three clubs willing to pay up to sign Ronald Araujo
Manchester United, Manchester City, and Newcastle United are among the teams who are eager to fork out a large sum to get their hands on Ronald Araujo. The Barcelona defender’s time at the club has been called into question as his future remains unresolved, with the Catalans keen on making a big sale.
While Barcelona are not intent on losing many of its top performers, they might be willing to sanction the sale of either Jules Kounde or Araujo in the current window. The Uruguayan international will cost at least €90 million, as per the Catalan side, with three Premier League giants willing to pay up.
Manchester United, who are in the market for top-notch central defenders, might view Araujo as a big target. Reports stated that the Red Devils are not pursuing the Uruguayan. But should Barcelona make him available, they will be willing to pay the €90 million needed to sign him.
Newcastle United are also reportedly keen on Ronald Araujo, as Eddie Howe wants a new option to his central defence. While the club owners have humongous cash resources, the Magpies are not in a strong p[position to spend that due to PSR concerns, which casts doubts over their ability to pay for Araujo.
