Chelsea looking to sign Maximilian Beier

Chelsea are reportedly keen on signing Maximilian Beier, as they add another young forward to their growing list.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Chelsea is a big admirer of Maximilian Beier and is looking to sign the 21-year-old Hoffenheim forward. Many other clubs are keen as the Blues continue their relentless pursuit of signing top young profiles from around, with Beier just the latest to emerge on their long list of targets.

Chelsea are interested in Maximilian Beier

Chelsea are looking to bring some of the exciting young striker profiles from around and have now set sights on Manchester United target Maximilian Beier. The 21-year-old Hoffenheim striker is part of the German squad for the Euros, although he has yet to take in any minutes on the field.

His 16 Bundesliga goals for Hoffenheim have certainly put him on the big transfer map, with Chelsea now eager to sign him. He has a €30 million release clause that could gradually reduce with each passing year, much like all contracts in Germany. The reporter suggests Chelsea are not in pole position, as Beier has the interest of other sides like Bayer Leverkusen.

The striker has not made a decision, although if Chelsea’s interest has any truth to it, then they are continuing on their relentless pursuit of signing the best young profiles from around. In terms of the striker requirement, the Blues have pursued many names, and their targets signal a change in direction from the usual established option to someone unproven on the big stage.

For €30 million, they might see value in signing Beier, although there will be attempts made to reduce the asking price. Whether the striker likes their project is another big favour to consider, and as Florian Plettenberg suggests, they are not the favourites to land the German attacker anyway.

Chelsea are chasing young striker profiles

Chelsea remain undecided on Jhon Duran as things stand, but they do hold big interest in the Aston Villa striker. In some surprising events of the last few days, the Blues have reportedly agreed to sign another young striker from Villa and are willing to pay £19 million for Omari Kellyman.

The London giants also failed in a bid for Samu Omorodion, with Atletico Madrid not interested in a sale at present, especially not at the price Chelsea had offered. Overall, the indication is that Chelsea are keen to bring someone unpolished, whom they can develop and probably profit from a big future sale.
