Real Madrid contemplate another loan move for Kepa Arrizabalaga

Real Madrid have been linked with another move for 29-year-old Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga this summer.

According to Spanish journalists Sergio Gomez and Manuel Amor, Real Madrid are looking to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan against for next season. The Spanish goalkeeper was on loan at Real Madrid last term after Thibaut Courtois picked up a long-term injury. However, Andriy Lunin started most games for them.

It will be interesting to see if the Spaniard is willing to join Real Madrid on loan once again even though he will not be guaranteed regular first-team action. Courtois is set to feature regularly next term. But it seems that Lunin could be on his way out of the club amid his links with Arsenal and Manchester City in search of regular playing time.

Real Madrid are probably looking to sign the Chelsea shot-stopper as a replacement for the Ukrainian international. Kepa Arrizabalaga does not have a future at Chelsea, and leaving the Premier League club permanently would be ideal for him.

Real Madrid are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and the opportunity to play for them can be quite attractive. The 29-year-old could be attracted to the idea of joining them once again.

Chelsea will hope to sell Kepa permanently

Chelsea will be hoping to get rid of the player permanently. They will look to improve their squad during the summer transfer window, and the departure of the Spanish goalkeeper will bring in funds that could help them sign quality players. The 29-year-old has failed to make his mark in English football since the big money move from Athletic Club.

A permanent exit would be ideal for him. It will be interesting to see if he can find a club willing to give him regular starting opportunities. The goalkeeper is at the peak of his powers, and sitting on the bench at big clubs will not be appealing for him. It remains to be seen how the situation develops over the next few weeks.

As for Real Madrid, they will certainly hope to sign the player on a loan deal. It would be an inexpensive addition, and he would add depth to the goalkeeping department if Lunin moves on. Signing him on loan would allow Real Madrid to improve the other areas of their squad as well without overspending. It remains to be seen whether the Spanish outfit can get the deal done.
