Inter Milan have been in talks with Manchester United for the signature of English full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, Inter Milan are looking to reinforce their defence ahead of next season, and they have their eyes set on Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The 26-year-old’s future at Manchester United is not certain, and the Serie A giants could make the most out of the situation.
Wan-Bissaka made a name for himself while playing for Crystal Palace before making a move to Manchester United in the summer of 2019. The Red Devils forked out €55 million to sign the full-backs.
While he did showcase great promise in the initial years, the former Crystal Palace graduate has not been consistent enough in the recent seasons. With his contract running out in the summer of 2025, they look ready to sanction his departure.
Manchester United do not seem to have a plan to extend his stay at the club and with 12 months left on his deal, they would prefer to cash in on him. They would like to avoid a situation where he leaves for free.
Inter Milan pushing hard for Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Inter Milan are the ones interested in his services, and they see it as an opportunity to reinforce their backline. Denzel Dumfries’s future at Inter Milan is not certain. The 28-year-old wing-back could be on the move in the summer, and people at the Italian club feel Wan-Bissaka could help them cope with his absences.
With Manchester United ready to sanction his departure, Inter Milan have been working on a potential transfer. They have been in negotiations with the Red Devils, who seem to be looking for a fee of around €12 million for the former Crystal Palace defender. That is a figure that the Serie A giants could end up paying in order to secure his services.
The Nerazzurri are willing to offer the English full-back a three-year contract which will see him earn €2.7 million per season. The deal will also have an option for another 12 months. All parties seem to be on the same page which means there is a real possibility of this transfer going through.
