Manchester United keen on Keylor Navas

Manchester United are plotting a surprise bosman move for the former Real Madrid shot-stopper Keylor Navas.

According to a report from Fichajes, Manchester United are looking to reinforce the goalkeeping position in the upcoming summer transfer window and they are interested in acquiring the services of Keylor Navas. The Costa Rican international is all set to part ways with Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and there is no shortage of interest in his services.

Navas to leave PSG as a free agent

Navas was at the peak of his power during his days at Real Madrid. He won three Champions League titles during his time at the club. After parting with the Spanish outfit, he made the move to PSG in the summer of 2019.

He was one of the mainstays of the French club in the initial years but Gianluigi Donnarumma’s arrival in 2021 saw him go down the pecking order. The former Real Madrid goalkeeper has been a backup to the Italian international over the last few seasons and has also had a short loan spell at Nottingham Forest.

His contract at PSG runs out at the end of the season and he has no intentions of extending his stay. The fact that he has hardly had any minutes this season might have played a big part in his decision to leave as a free agent. While he is already 37, Navas still has a few years left in him and with him available for free, multiple clubs are keen.

Manchester United want to sign Navas

Manchester United are one of the clubs that are interested in his signature. Andre Onana hasn’t had the best of times since joining the club. The former Inter Milan shot-stopper has failed to convince the people at the club entirely.

As a result, they are looking to reinforce the position in the summer. They feel Navas could be a great addition to their ranks and with him available for free, they are considering going after him. The Costa Rican has a lot of experience which could come in handy and he could even compete with Onana for a place in the starting XI.

But, Manchester United are not the only ones interested in having him in their squad. Multiple top clubs could go after his signatures which will make things difficult for the English giants.
