Arne Slot wants Crysencio Summerville for Liverpool

Arne Slot wants Liverpool to sign the 22-year-old Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville for next season.

According to a report by Fichajes, Liverpool could make a move for the services of Crysencio Summerville in the summer as Arne Slot is keen on having him in his squad. The Dutch manager is all set to take over from Jurgen Klopp and has already asked the club for his first signing.

While Slot’s appointment is not yet official, an agreement has been reached between the Reds and Feyenoord regarding the compensation. The official confirmation should arrive in the near future. Meanwhile, it seems the Dutch manager has already started planning potential signings.

The 45-year-old is a huge admirer of Summerville and is eager to have him in his squad at Liverpool. Slot has been interested in the 22-year-old for a while now. The Leeds winger has been linked with his current club Feyenoord over the past 12 months.

While the negotiations didn’t go according to plan because of the player’s high price tag, the Dutch manager has now asked the Liverpool hierarchy to sign him. Unlike the Dutch club, the Merseyside do have the financial strength to pull a deal.

Liverpool to push for Summerville

The Leeds forward has been involved in 45 matches and has contributed towards 30 goals (20 goals & 10 assists). His impressive performances in the Championship suggest he could be of great use to the Reds. They appear to be willing to push for his signatures as they look to reinforce their attack ahead of next season.

Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota have struggled with injuries, as a result, the 22-year-old’s arrival could add much-needed depth. While he might not start off as an undisputed starter, his versatility could be a huge boost for their squad as they are expected to push for all major titles.
The Dutch youth international’s current value is €18 million and Leeds will surely look to make a significant amount from a potential sale if Liverpool do knock on their door. Promotion back to the Premier League for the Yorkshire club could further increase the 22-year-old’s fee.
