Chelsea, Tottenham, Aston Villa rival Arsenal in Michael Kayode pursuit

Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Arsenal are all keen on the signatures of 19-year-old defensive sensation Michael Kayode.

According to a report by HITC, Michael Kayode is on the radar of a host of clubs from across Europe. The 19-year-old sensation has announced himself in the Italian top flight with impressive performances in his debut season and it has resulted in interest from Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Arsenal.

Kayode’s sensational rise at Fiorentina

Kayode was a part of the Juventus youth setup back in the day but things didn’t really work out for him at the Turin-based club. The teenager made the move to Fiorentina from Gozzano in the summer of 2021 and hasn’t looked back since.

He went up the ranks at some pace and was promoted to the first team ahead of the ongoing campaign. He has featured in 25 matches and has racked up close to 2000 minutes of first-team football so far this season. Kayode has even contributed towards four goals.

The teenager has put in some impressive performances and on the back of it, there could be a bidding war for him in the summer. Despite having recently penned down a new deal that runs until the summer of 2028, clubs like Chelsea, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Arsenal have been constantly scouting the teenager ahead of a potential move.

Premier League giants to battle for Kayode’s signatures

Scouts from all four English clubs were recently spotted watching the 19-year-old in action. And, their next course of action could be a bid in the summer transfer window. Arsenal do have quality right-backs in their ranks but Mikel Arteta is still on the lookout for a more attacking option and Kayode could be a great fit.

Spurs are also looking for more depth in the full-back department, Ange Postecoglou prefers having attacking-minded full-back and the Italian youth international seems to be an ideal fit for their club.

Meanwhile, Villa have added a lot of quality to their ranks under Unai Emery. They have been playing an attractive brand of football and the arrival of the 19-year-old could make them even more threatening from the right flank.

As far as Chelsea are concerned, they are always on the lookout for the best young prospects out there and Kayode is certainly one of them. And, with Reece James’ fitness a concern, he could be a great signing for them.

With all four clubs willing to battle it out for the teenage sensation, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.
