Inter Milan will reportedly demand around €35 million to part ways with 18-year-old Argentine midfield sensation Valentin Carboni, a target for West Ham United.
According to a report by Italian outlet Inter Live, Valentin Carboni is the subject of interest from West Ham United. The Hammers are looking for a versatile attacker to add to David Moyes’s options in the final third. They have thus set their sights on the highly-rated 18-year-old sensation. Inter Milan will demand around €35 million to part ways with him.
Who is Valentin Carboni?
Valentin Carboni is a native of Buenos Aires and spent most of his formative years in his homeland. But he has finished his youth career in Italy, graduating from the Inter Milan youth division. The Argentine midfield sensation made his first-team debut last season and made five further appearances in 2022/23.
But Inter Milan loaned him out in the summer transfer window, with AC Monza snapping him up. The 18-year-old has not been a regular starter for Monza but has featured 16 times thus far this term, chipping in with two goals and three assists. Meanwhile, Carboni’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of foreign clubs.
The report claims that several well-known clubs are interested in signing Valentin Carboni. West Ham United are among the prospective suitors for the teenage sensation and want to sign him this month. They even offered around €15 million to secure his services. But Inter Milan will demand around €35 million to part ways with him.
West Ham United Want Valentin Carboni
West Ham’s interest in Carboni is understandable. While James Ward-Prowse arrived from Southampton in the summer transfer window and has been a resounding success, David Moyes needs more options for the central positions. In addition, the Argentine sensation can play on the right flank, making him an attractive target.
Other attackers, including Jota, are also on West Ham United’s radar. The Hammers were also keen on signing Ibrahim Osman before talks over a deal collapsed. But Valentin Carboni is a viable target for West Ham United as well.
It is unclear if West Ham United are open to shelling out €35 million to secure Carboni’s services. But a bid lower than that sum might not be enough to convince Inter Milan to part ways with the 18-year-old Argentine sensation.
