Manchester United set for concrete talks with Serhou Guirassy next month

Manchester United will hold concrete talks with the 27-year-old VfB Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy over a possible transfer next month.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Manchester United are keen on having Serhou Guirassy in their ranks. The Red Devils want to reinforce their attack in the upcoming transfer window and they have their eyes set on the 27-year-old Stuttgart striker.

Guirassy has been doing wonders since joining the German club in the summer of 2022. He was initially on a season-long loan but thanks to his impressive performances in his first season at the club, the transfer was made permanent in the summer.

The 27-year-old has taken his game to another level in the ongoing season. He has contributed towards 20 goals in 13 matches. Guirassy has found the back of the net on 18 occasions so far this season. His impressive performances in front of goal have resulted in a lot of attention from across Europe. Multiple clubs are looking to sign him in the upcoming transfer window.

Manchester United are one of the clubs that have been linked with the Stuttgart striker. The Red Devils might have spent a fortune on signing Rasmus Højlund but they are still looking to add another number nine in the winter.

Erik ten Hag wants a reliable goal-scorer, while Højlund has found the back on the net on multiple occasions in the Champions League, he is yet to score in the Premier League. The lack of goals needs to be addressed and they are looking to sign Guirassy to cope with it.

The Red Devils have already enquired about him and they are well aware of the financial details involved in the deal. The Manchester-based club can sign him for less than €20 million in January which sounds to be a great bargain given his recent form.

While there is no verbal agreement yet and it is still early stages, the Red Devils are quite serious about their pursuit of the 27-year-old. Both parties are set to hold concrete talks over a potential transfer next month. While the player wants to continue at the German club until the end of the season, he is all set to listen to the offer that United will propose.
