Chelsea view Victor Osimhen as top target for 2024

Chelsea have reportedly identified Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as their primary offensive target for next year.

Victor Osimhen has been linked with a move to the Premier League, and he is open to joining Chelsea next year according to a report from Daily Telegraph.

Osimhen is one of the best strikers in the world right now, and he scored 31 goals across all competitions last season. He helped Napoli win the Serie A title and will be expected to transform Chelsea into genuine title contenders as well.

Chelsea have been quite mediocre going forward this season, and signing a world-class striker like him should improve them immensely. The 24-year-old Nigerian international is still relatively young and is likely to improve with coaching and experience he could develop into a future superstar.

Osimhen is already operating at a world-class level, and working under Mauricio Pochettino could help him improve further. A move to the Premier League would be an exciting challenge for him, and Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world.

It is no surprise that he is keen on a move to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea have a proven track record of competing for major trophies and despite their troubles over the past 12 months, they are expected to return towards the top of the table soon.

The West Londoners have spent a substantial amount of money on new signings since the takeover and they are expected to be active in the market in the coming months as well. It will be interesting to see if they can plug the gaps in their squad and push for a top-four finish this season.

Osimhen has already proven himself in Italy, and he needs a new challenge at this stage of his career. A move to the Premier League could be ideal for him, and he will want to showcase his qualities in the English top flight.
