Barcelona are reportedly considering selling Brazilian winger Raphinha for €70 million amid interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.
A report from Fichajes has claimed that Barcelona could sell Raphinha for a fee of around €70 million. The Brazilian international has been linked with clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea, and it remains to be seen where he ends up.
Raphinha has not been able to live up to the expectations since joining Barcelona, and he has had a mixed spell at Camp Nou. An exit could be ideal for all parties, especially with Lamine Yamal rising in stature exponentially. So, it remains to be seen whether Barcelona can find a suitable club for the player.
The 26-year-old has previously proven himself in the Premier League with Leeds United, and a return to English football could be ideal for him. Arsenal and Chelsea were keen on signing him in the summer transfer window and remain interested in him.
Arsenal could certainly use a quality winger, and the Brazilian would be a superb addition. They have not been able to rotate players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli due to the lack of depth in the side. The arrival of the Barcelona winger would allow Mikel Arteta to shuffle his pack and keep the players fresh.
Similarly, Chelsea could use an upgrade on players like Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk, with the former, in particular, failing to live up to the expectations since moving to Stamford Bridge. Added competition for places would help the players improve.
Both Chelsea and Arsenal have the financial means to sign the player, and it remains to be seen whether they are ready to shell out €70 million for him. The two Premier League clubs could look to sign him for a more reasonable price and Barcelona might need to lower their demands.
