Manchester United considering Unai Emery as Erik ten Hag replacement

Manchester United seem to be losing patience with Erik ten Hag and have identified Unai Emery as a potential replacement.

A report from Fichajes has claimed that Manchester United are eyeing a move for former Arsenal boss and current Aston Villa manager Unai Emery as a potential replacement for Erik ten Hag amid their horrendous run of form.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have been linked with Ruben Amorim as well. Erik ten Hag has failed to get the best out of his players this season, and Manchester United have struggled despite spending significant amount of money during the summer transfer window.

There is no doubt that they have a formidable squad at their disposal. But the performances this term have been below par, and the Red Devils need to bounce back quickly for ten Hag to hold onto his job.

A club of their stature is expected to challenge for league titles. But Manchester United are now struggling to make it to the top four. They were expected to challenge the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal this season. It remains to be seen whether ten Hag can get his side firing once again.

The Dutchman did an impressive job last year. But things are clearly not going according to plan for him this year. It remains to be seen whether the club hierarchy are willing to make changes and bring in a new manager.

Emery has proven himself around Europe over the years, and he could be a quality acquisition. It will be interesting to see if the former Arsenal manager is willing to abandon the project at Aston Villa and join Manchester United in the coming months.

Aston Villa have shown tremendous improvement under his management, and they are competing in European football. He will want to win trophies with them and take them to the UEFA Champions League.
