Liverpool have reportedly had 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder Andre scouted recently ahead of a possible January move.
A report from 90min claims that Liverpool have been scouting Andre. The Reds failed to secure the services of the 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder during the summer transfer window.
Liverpool were hoping to bring in Andre during the summer transfer window. But they failed to sign the Fluminense midfielder back then. Apparently, the player wanted to stay at the Brazilian club for their Copa Libertadores campaign.
Jurgen Klopp and the Merseyside club continue to keep tabs on the 22-year-old, and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool try and sign him during the January transfer window. The Reds needed to improve their midfield options during the summer, and they did well to bring in quality players like Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, and Wataru Endo.
They tried to sign Moises Caicedo for a British transfer record sum as well. But the player ended up joining Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion. It is evident that the Liverpool midfield is lacking in a quality defensive midfielder, and someone like Andre could complete their meat field unit for the foreseeable future.
The Brazilian prospect is highly rated in South America, and he has a big future ahead of him. A move to Liverpool would be the ideal next step in his career and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool can agree on a deal with Fluminense.
