Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Ian Maatsen from Chelsea if they fail to secure the services of Alphonso Davies.
A report from Fichajes claims that Real Madrid are hoping to sign 21-year-old Chelsea defender Ian Maatsen in 2024. But their primary target will be Alphonso Davies heading into next summer’s transfer window.
Maatsen was linked with a move away from Chelsea during the summer transfer window as well. Meanwhile, amid uncertainties surrounding his future, Manchester City are reportedly keen on him.
The 21-year-old is rated highly around Europe, and he has a big future ahead of him. Chelsea will not want to lose a quality young prospect like him in the coming months. So, it remains to be seen whether the Blues can convince him to stay.
The Dutchman has the quality to establish himself as a first-team player at Stamford Bridge, and it remains to be seen whether Mauricio Pochettino is prepared to give him the opportunity he needs. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are primarily keen on a move for the Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies.
