Aston Villa offer in excess of €30 million for Nicolo Zaniolo

Aston Villa are pushing hard for the signatures of the 24-year-old Galatasaray utility man Nicolo Zaniolo.

According to Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Aston Villa are keen on having Nicolo Zaniolo in their ranks before the end of the transfer window. The 24-year-old attacking midfielder has been on their radar for a while now and they have started making moves to land him at the club.

Villa have been busy throughout the transfer window. They have signed some big names so far and have no intentions of stopping yet. Unai Emery has done wonders since taking charge of the English club, he managed to secure European football last season despite having joined them when they were struggling for survival.

On the back of his impressive performances, the board has decided to back him in the transfer market. They have already signed Moussa Diaby, Pau Torres and Youri Tielemans among others. And, Villa are now looking to sign Zaniolo.

They are keen on having the Italian international in their ranks and the major reason behind their all-out pursuit of the Galatasaray star is an injury to Emi Buendia. The Argentine midfielder has suffered an ACL injury before the start of the new season and is all set to be out for a while.

As a result, Emery is keen on having a creative midfielder in his ranks. Someone who is versatile in nature and can make them a threat going forward. The 24-year-old could be a perfect fit for their system and that is why the Spanish manager wants him in his ranks.

They have already spent a fortune on new players. As a result, they are looking to sign the Italian international on loan with a buy option. They are ready to pay an initial loan fee of €3 million and on top of that, they are ready to go big and include a buy option of over €30 million.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United are also interested in the former AS Roma midfielder and will give Villa a tough fight in the race for his signatures. The 24-year-old still has four years left on his deal with the Turkish club. As a result, it will be interesting to see if they get tempted by Villa’s offer.
