Aston Villa, Barcelona vying for Nicolo Zaniolo

Aston Villa and Barcelona are reportedly keen on signing 24-year-old Italian international Nicolo Zaniolo this summer.

Nicolo Zaniolo joined Galatasaray in January, and it will be interesting to see if the Turkish outfit are prepared to sell him. A report from Tuttomercatoweb claims that Aston Villa and Barcelona could look to make a move for the 24-year-old soon.

Zaniolo has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past. However, he decided to join Galatasaray from AS Roma, and it remains to be seen whether he is willing to move to Aston Villa in the coming weeks.

The West Midlands club could certainly use more creativity in the final third, and Zaniolo could prove to be a superb acquisition. The 24-year-old is highly rated around Europe, and he could be a quality player for Unai Emery in the coming seasons.

Aston Villa will be competing in Europe next season, and they could certainly use more quality and depth in the side. Villa were overly dependent on Ollie Watkins last season, and they have decided to improve their attacking options before the new season begins.

Galatasaray have signed him recently. So they are under no pressure to sell him just yet. It is fair to assume that they will demand a premium for his services.
