According to Football Insider, Liverpool are closing in on signing 16-year-old defensive sensation Amaro Nallo in the coming days. The Merseysiders are holding advanced talks with West Ham United for the centre-back as they look to build their youth sides with the best talents from around.
Liverpool are set for a busy period in the transfer window as Jurgen Klopp wants to finalise his full squad as soon as possible. There are massive needs within the side to bring in reinforcements, with central midfield their most apparent area needing strength.
Romeo Lavia remains a strong target, but they have not agreed on a fee with Southampton, who have stuck with their £50 million asking price. They are already exploring options such as Fluminense’s Andre, among others.
Meanwhile, the Merseysiders intend to strengthen their young sides, with moves for three players from different clubs mooted about. Harvey Owen from Wolverhampton Wanderers is reportedly on his way to the club, while Liverpool are on the cusp of signing Trey Nyoni from Leicester City.

To add to the duo, the Merseysiders have also lined up Amaro Nallo, the 16-year-old defensive sensation from West Ham United. The youngster recently signed scholarship terms with the Hammers. But his head got turned by Liverpool’s interest.
Liverpool are in advanced talks with West Ham, who have acknowledged the interest and are ready to sell. The Hammers will certainly demand a substantial fee for the 16-year-old, who youth coach Carlton Cole described as a ‘Rolls Royce of a defender”.
Nallo can play with both feet, which makes him a versatile presence in central defence. He could yet develop later to determine his best foot, but his current capabilities make him a formidable name for the future.
Liverpool are keen to build a core of young players in the background to give them a chance to take over first-team duties in the future. So far, there are hardly any prospects known to come in next season. But Klopp has shown enough intent in the past for youngsters to join their youth sides.
