Manchester United are reportedly closing in on the capture of 26-year-old Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina.
According to Moroccan journalist Izem Anass, Sofyan Amrabat is one detail away from joining Manchester United. And the 26-year-old Fiorentina midfielder could cost around β¬35 million.
Manchester United have already improved their midfield by signing Mason Mount. And the arrival of Amrabat would give them a formidable unit in the middle of the park. The 26-year-old emerged as one of the best players in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, as he helped his side reach the semi-finals of the tournament.
His performances were hugely impressive, and Manchester United could certainly use his qualities in the middle of the park. The Red Devils lack physicality in their midfield apart from Casemiro. In addition, Amrabat will add some defensive cover and aggression to the side as well.
