Manchester United might offer €80 million to sign Thibaut Courtois from Real Madrid if the Qatar takeover goes through.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Thibaut Courtois might become the subject of interest from Manchester United if Sheikh Jassim successfully takes over the club. And the Red Devils will submit an offer worth €80 million to Real Madrid for the 31-year-old. The veteran goalkeeper will also receive a lucrative contract.
Thibaut Courtois has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world in the past decade. The Belgian international rose to prominence during a three-year loan stint with Atletico Madrid. And his stock skyrocketed after he became the first-choice goalkeeper at Chelsea, compelling Real Madrid to prise him away after the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Since then, the 31-year-old has gone from strength to strength, becoming a pivotal figure for Real Madrid. Courtois’s performances have often made him the brightest spark whenever the Merengues falter. And he has kept 91 clean sheets in 230 appearances for Real Madrid. But a move to Manchester United might be on the cards for the experienced Real Madrid shot-stopper.

The report claims that Manchester United will launch the offensive for the Real Madrid goalkeeper if Sheikh Jassim is successful with his bid to take over the club. And the Red Devils will offer €80 million to Real Madrid in such a scenario. In addition, they will table a €20 million-a-year contract to the 31-year-old.
