Arsenal and Bayern Munich are all set to battle it out for the services of 23-year-old Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic.
According to a report by Calciomercatoweb, Arsenal and Bayern Munich are keen on acquiring the services of Dusan Vlahovic. The 23-year-old’s future looks uncertain at Juventus, given that they are not guaranteed to take part in next year’s UEFA Champions League.
Vlahovic had an impressive run at Fiorentina. His performances for them resulted in a lot of interest in the 23-year-old’s services. Juventus managed to bring the Serbian international to Turin in the winter of 2022. But he has not had the desired impact for the Serie A giants.
Arsenal were one of the clubs keen on having him in their ranks ahead of the ongoing season. But, they failed to get the deal over the line. They are all set to return in the summer. And, this time around, they might have a real possibility of signing the 23-year-old.
Vlahovic arrived in Turin with a lot of expectations but he has failed to meet those so far. The Serbian international has featured in 31 matches in the ongoing season and has only managed to find the back of the net on 11 occasions.
Juventus are struggling to qualify for the Champions League at this point in time. Their only hope seems to be by winning the Europa League, which won’t be that easy a task. And, if they fail to qualify for the biggest European Cup competition, the Serie A giants could look to offload the former Fiorentina forward.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are leading the race for the Premier League title. And, they are all set to return to the Champions League next season. Arteta is looking for an out-and-out number nine and he feels Vlahovic could be a great fit for the club.
They are keen to land the Juventus striker in their ranks. However, they are not alone in the race. The Gunners are all set to face competition from German giants Bayern Munich.
Bayern are yet to sign a high-profile striker to replace Robert Lewandowski, who joined Barcelona last summer. They do have Sadio Mane and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting who could feature as a number-nine. But the German club are keen on a high-profile young striker. And, Vlahovic is one of the names on their list.
With Bayern and Arsenal set to battle it out for the services of the 23-year-old, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. But the Serbian striker seems set to end his stint with Serie A giants Juventus this summer.
