Manchester United are interested in signing 25-year-old AS Monaco defender Axel Disasi ahead of next season.
According to Santi Aouna, Manchester United are keen on having Axel Disasi in their ranks. The 25-year-old AS Monaco defender has been doing wonders in the Ligue 1, and a lot of clubs have their eyes on him. However, United have already held talks with the player’s representatives.
The French international joined AS Monaco back in the summer of 2020 from Stade Reims. He has gone from strength to strength since arriving at the club. The 25-year-old is currently one of their most important players.
He has made a total of 119 appearances for AS Monaco and has 15 goal contributions to his name. As far as the ongoing season is concerned, the France international has nine goal contributions in 39 outings. It has been another great season for Disasi.
The 25-year-old’s contract at the club ends in the summer of 2025. But, given the amount of interest in his services, he might be on his way out in the upcoming transfer window. And, as per the reports the French club could sell him for €50 million.

Manchester United are one of the clubs that are interested in the French centre-back. The Red Devils are on the lookout for reinforcement in the centre of defence and will push for his services in the summer.
Erik ten Hag has done wonders since joining Manchester United. The Dutch manager has already won a trophy at the club and is still in contention for a few more. However, he has identified a few key areas where he wants to bring in reinforcements. And, Manchester United will push for those signatures in the upcoming window.
While they do have a solid defensive pair of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martínez, the manager still wants to more depth and is keen on having Disasi in his ranks. With Harry Maguire’s future at the club uncertain, it looks like the right move.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have already held talks with the player’s entourage. The two parties met a few weeks back to discuss a potential transfer. With Monaco ready to sell their star defender for €50 million, Manchester United can surely push for him. However, there are other clubs who are interested in the 25-year-old and will surely make it difficult for United.
