Real Madrid told to pay €50 million for Rasmus Hojlund

Real Madrid will need to pay €50 million to sign emerging Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund from Serie A club Atalanta.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Rasmus Hojlund is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. And the reigning La Liga champions need to fork out €50 million to secure the services of the emerging Danish striker. The youngster is also a target for Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

Rasmus Hojlund has made quite a splash since arriving in Serie A last summer. After spending his formative years in Scandinavian countries, he joined Atalanta in August 2022. And the 20-year-old has taken no time to establish himself as one of the best young strikers in Serie A.

The Danish striker has also made his debut for his national side, turning out twice for the Red and Whites. As for Hojlund’s outings for Atalanta, he has amassed seven goals and two assists in 22 appearances. The emerging attacker’s progress has not gone unnoticed either, with Real Madrid among his prospective suitors.

Real Madrid might delve into the market for a striker in the summer transfer window. That is because Mariano Diaz will likely depart from the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season. And with Karim Benzema struggling with fitness issues, Carlo Ancelotti needs another striker in his squad.

Hojlund has thus emerged as a viable target for Real Madrid. The 20-year-old can initially learn the ropes from Benzema before potentially taking over as the first-choice striker. But he will likely compete with Endrick, who will arrive at the Bernabeu in July 2024, to be Benzema’s heir at Real Madrid.

Nonetheless, the emerging Danish striker is an attractive target for Real Madrid. And the reigning La Liga champions now know how much Atalanta will demand to sell him. The Serie A giants want €50 million to part ways with the youngster in the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on signing the Danish international. But the lure of joining Real Madrid might be too hard to turn down. However, it will be interesting to see if the Merengues shell out €50 million to sign the emerging striker in the summer.
