Arsenal and Everton are reportedly looking to snap up former Tottenham Academy chief Chris Perkins.

According to a report from Football Insider, Chris Perkins has quit Tottenham and has interest from the two Premier League clubs. Apparently, Arsenal and Everton have already made offers to the former Tottenham Academy chief. And it will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.

Chris Perkins has worked at Everton in the past, and he spent 20 months as their head of Academy recruitment back in 2020. It will be interesting to see if he is willing to return to Goodison Park in the coming weeks.

Perkins held an important role at Tottenham Hotspur, and he was the head of emerging talents at the London club. Apparently, Everton are prepared to offer the decision maker a similar role at Goodison Park.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are keen to continue their success when it comes to developing and identifying young talents in recent years. Arsenal have managed to bring a number of talented young players like Bukayo Saka through the ranks. And they believe that Perkins has the quality, contacts, and knowledge to help them continue their success at the academy level.

After joining Tottenham in the summer of 2021, Perkins worked closely with academy manager Dean Rastrick and the club director Fabio Paratici. He is rated highly within the game and has previously proven his quality at Derby County as well.

Both Arsenal and Everton would represent exciting opportunities for the former Tottenham man. And it remains to be seen what he decides in the coming months. Everton will certainly hope that their history with Perkins and his association with Tottenham will convince him to move to Goodison Park instead of joining Tottenham’s rivals Arsenal.

Whoever ends up appointing him will have an asset on their hands, and he could make a big difference in terms of improving the pool of young talent at both clubs.
