Everton and Fulham are interested in 22-year-old Danish goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, with Brondby open to enquiries.

According to Danish outlet Ekstra Bladet, there is considerable interest in Brondby goalkeeper Mads Hermansen. Fulham and Everton are keeping tabs on the 22-year-old emerging stopper, with the Danish outfit likely to entertain approaches this month.

Mads Hermansen is one of the rising stars of Danish football. The 22-year-old emerging goalkeeper is knocking on the national team’s doors with some accomplished performances for Brondby. In turn, he is attracting plenty of interest from abroad.

English clubs, in particular, are keeping a firm eye on his development and could make approaches for the keeper this month. Some interested teams, including Everton and Fulham, have even watched him in action recently, thus increasing speculation that few serious outfits could make enquiries.

Brondby have reportedly offered a new contract to Hermansen. Overall, the 22-year-old emerging goalkeeper is unlikely to pen new terms and could look for a move away from the club. Naturally, if a good offer arrives, the Danish side could cash in, but they are yet to receive anything concrete.

Fulham and Everton are reportedly interested in making a move for the youngster. Both clubs have the requirement and need competition for places between the sticks. The two outfits do not have an able deputy to challenge their current No.1.

Fulham signed Bernd Leno from Arsenal in the summer, and the German international has established himself in the No.1 spot. Yet, Marco Silva is keen to bring another promising shot-stopper to compete at the top. The idea is to introduce healthy competition.

They are in the market for a player in the required profile. Hence, Hermansen could become a likely target for Fulham. The 22-year-old is an emerging player with plenty of hunger to succeed at the top level. He may have bigger ambitions, but the Cottagers could prove a good option.

Similarly, Everton are keen on Hermansen. Frank Lampard knows the pressure on Jordan Pickford in recent seasons. He does not have anyone to challenge the England international for the no.1 spot. And there could be a huge risk for the Toffees if he gets injured. In addition, Pickford has been linked with several Premier League bigwigs and might leave a gaping hole at Everton.

Hence, the idea would circle to bring another player capable of deputising for Pickford and probably taking over from him if he leaves. Hermansen could prove a good option, although for Everton, much will depend on the price Brondby will demand.
