Gabriel Martinelli has made his mark in club football after a terrific start to the season with Arsenal. The Brazilian winger has chipped in with five goals and three assists to help the Gunners to the top of the Premier League and take a five-point lead over second-placed Manchester City.
Arsenal have been confident of agreeing to new terms with Martinelli for a few months. Recent reports suggested the 21-year-old is ready to sign the new contract worth £200,000 per week until 2027. His current agreement lasts until 2024. But the north Londoners can extend it until 2026.
The new deal will end speculation regarding his long-term future at the Emirates. PSG, however, are not ready to back down from their pursuit of the Arsenal attacker, as they are already planning a summer move for the 21-year-old winger.
Arsenal fans may find it bemusing, considering the attacker is part of their young core of stars, including Bukayo Saka and William Saliba. They want the club to retain the trio at all costs and believe the future relies on their shoulders.

PSG are not about to back down for reasons of a high fee, as they have deep coffers to execute any move possible.
