Tottenham ready to let Bryan Gil leave

Tottenham Hotspur will let Bryan Gil leave the club next month only if they manage to bring in a replacement in the stipulated time.

According to eminent journalist Fabrizio Romano, as relayed by Caught Offside, Bryan Gil could be permitted to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium given a replacement arrives in time.

The 21-year-old arrived from Sevilla in the summer of 2021 as Tottenham paid to the tune of £22 million to the Spanish side with Erik Lamela also moving to the other side. The youngster was tipped to make it big on the English soil as the North Londoners bet high on him.

But that has not turned out exactly as they would have hoped. Antonio Conte has barely used him this season as the forward has not made it to the starting lineup in any of the games.

The Tottenham manager clearly does not see him in his plans in near future and the player could be sold if the  Premier League giants receive a good cover for his position.

Gil spent the second half in Spain for Valencia and returned to his parent club in the summer. The Spanish giants were ready to add Gil to their folds but Spurs’ inability to find the right kind of player forced their hands and the player remained in England. Fabrizio Romano reiterated the player could be on his way out of the club very soon.

“There’s been further speculation about the future of Bryan Gil. My understanding is he could only leave Tottenham if a replacement will be signed. This was the case in August with Valencia move and it’s still the same now. It’s too early to say where he could go and if a move will happen at all.”

Spurs won’t block his path as the player seems to have a pretty fine career ahead of him. Tottenham are expected to generate some massive shakeup in the winter transfer window and it remains to be seen whether they could conclude a deal for the player.

A loan deal in the next month might be a good start, but the North Londoners would definitely fancy cashing in on the player on a permanent basis. Real Sociedad have shown interest in the 21-year-old winger.
