La Liga champions Real Madrid are reportedly willing to rekindle the interest in Kylian Mbappe if all parties meet certain conditions.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Real Madrid could revive the interest in Kylian Mbappe. But the reigning La Liga champions want the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner to meet three conditions to facilitate a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Kylian Mbappe is arguably the best player in the world right now and is enjoying a sensational 2022/23 season. The 23-year-old has seen his stock skyrocket since rising to prominence half a decade ago. And he is already one of the greatest players to have ever played the game.
The Frenchman has 19 goals and five assists in 20 appearances for PSG this season. And Mbappe is the odds-on favourite to win the Golden Boot at the 2022 FIFA World Cup after scoring five goals in four outings. At the same time, the player has emerged on the radar of Real Madrid again.
Mbappe looked primed to join Real Madrid in a Bosman move in the summer transfer window. But the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner dropped a bombshell when he chose to continue his stint with PSG by signing a new contract with Les Parisiens. That deal made him the highest-paid player in the game while handing him more influence behind the scenes.
The reigning La Liga champions have since moved on and decided never to bring Mbappe to the Santiago Bernabeu. Recent reports claimed that Real Madrid snubbed a move for the 23-year-old after his outburst at PSG. The Frenchman was reportedly unsettled at Parc des Princes amid his tensions with Neymar.
But several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, are reportedly keen on signing the youngster. However, Mbappe might realise his Real Madrid dream, with Fichajes claiming that Los Blancos will want him to meet three conditions. Firstly, he will have to push for his exit from PSG. In addition, Mbappe will have to accept a much lower salary.
These wages will be lesser than the ones Real Madrid offered in the summer. Finally, Mbappe will have no influence on Real Madrid’s decision making, unlike at PSG. It will be interesting to see if the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner will bite the bullet and accept the conditions to join Los Blancos.
