According to Calciomercato, Juventus are continuing negotiations with Antonio Rudiger in a bid to convince the wantaway Chelsea defender to join them. The German international wants a €10 million-a-year contract to join the Bianconeri, which may prove steep for the Serie A giants.
Antonio Rudiger is one of the many high profile players who enter the next transfer window as a free agent. Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappe certainly headline the list of potential free transfers, as the trend of running down contracts is becoming very common across the top-five leagues in Europe.
As with all those players, they have not confirmed their intention to leave their current employers. A similar narrative transpires around Rudiger, who is yet to publicise his ideas. The chance to remain at Chelsea is still possible, although his financial demands may force the Blues to concede defeat.
Rudiger is reportedly seeking a €30 million signing-on fee from his suitors. In addition to that, the Chelsea contract rebel is demanding a massive €10 million-a-year salary to join a new club.
