Crystal Palace and Burnley played out an entertaining draw, as Patrick Vieira’s side gave up a narrow lead to a resurgent Clarets.
Burnley continued their impressive form from recent games as they came from behind to earn a draw at Selhurst Park over Crystal Palace. It took less than ten minutes for Palace to take the lead after some terrific work from Michael Olise on the right-hand side.
The youngster sent in a great ball, which was latched onto by the outstretched leg of Jeffrey Schlupp, who was able to poke it into the far corner. With Palace firmly in control of the game, Burnley looked to take some level of joy by attacking the ball into the penalty area.
The game was evenly poised before the break, as both sides ended the half with decent chances. After the second period began, Burnley applied the right pressure and got their reward. Aaron Lennon’s driven cross was unfortunately met by Luka Milivojevic, who turned the ball into his own net.
As the game progressed, both sides had enough chances to win the contest, with Wilfried Zaha and Wout Weghorst coming close for their respective sides. Zaha, in particular, hit the post and hit another effort straight at Nick Pope. In the end, the points were shared between both sides, which could be considered positive for Palace considering their recent run of results. Jack Butland: 7/10
Butland put a commanding performance in the box and seemed to get his timings right for most parts. He dealt with physical forwards like Wout Weghorst and Jay Rodriguez well by claiming high balls whenever he got the chance.
Tyrick Mitchell: 7/10
Mitchell’s increasing ability to bomb down the left-hand side and participate in final third activities makes him an important player for Vieira. A similar pattern ensued against Burnley, as he proved a great outlet in the attack.
Marc Guehi: 8/10
There was an intense physical battle between Guehi and Weghorst, and the defender did very well to take charge of the situation. Dealt with the pressures from the Dutchman well, and his best version was on display against Burnley.
Joachim Andersen: 6.5/10
Andersen had a decent game and had a quieter outing at the back. Some of his decision-making was questionable while sometimes lacking in his choice of passing.
Nathaniel Clyne: 6/10
A consistent run of games often improves a player, and Clyne seems to be benefitting from the same. Against Burnley, the full-back received support from Olise, making himself available for overlapping runs, while he troubled Pope once with a 30-yard attempt.
Luka Milivojevic: 6.5/10
There was no faulting his overall performances against Burnley, as Milivojevic put in an excellent shift in midfield. He kept breaking up play while helping Palace push forward. He was unfortunate to divert the cross into his net for the Burnley goal.
James McArthur: 6/10
Vieira’s new-look midfield seemed to work for the style of opposition Burnley are. McArthur was another player who kept play ticking as he put in a hard-working performance. However, the first half was much better than the second, as the midfielder lost touch with his game.
Conor Gallagher: 5.5/10
For Gallagher, barring a few moments in the game, he did not have much of an influence. Some of his moves did help the team get into some dangerous positions; he should have brought in more chances to trouble the keeper.
Jeffrey Schlupp: 6.5/10

Schlupp took his goal well, as the midfielder started the game in an advanced position than in a deeper, central zone. Other than the effort early in the game, he barely impacted or influenced proceedings throughout the game.
Wilfried Zaha: 7/10
After his double in the previous Premier League match, all eyes were on Zaha, who had a good game by all means. He should have done better with the two good chances that fell his way during the game, which could have been potential match-winners.
Michael Olise: 7/10
Olise troubled the defenders on his side with his tricky movements and offered plenty of threat from the right side. He created the opening goal with the great ball for Schlupp and had an excellent understanding with Zaha, who was operating as a central striker.

Jean-Philippe Mateta: 5.5/10
Vieira added an extra attacker in the mix, and the idea seemed to work as Palace became more threatening after Mateta’s introduction, although they could not find another goal to show for their efforts.
