Dejan Kulusevski has left Juventus to join Tottenham Hotspur on an 18-month loan deal, including a €35 million option to buy him permanently.
Juventus have confirmed the departure of Dejan Kulusevski, who joins Tottenham on an initial 18-month loan deal. Spurs will be paying a significant fee for the 21-year-old’s contract, while the agreement also includes a purchase option set at €35 million.
Tottenham may have endured a period of difficulty in this transfer window, but the north Londoners are emerging as the star performers on deadline day. Today, Spurs have secured two good signings, with Dejan Kulusevski becoming the latest to join their squad. Meanwhile, they have also let Tanguy Ndombele join Lyon on loan.
Kulusevski had been on course to leave Juventus in this window after being kept out of Massimiliano Allegri’s plans at the Allianz Stadium. The Swedish international was earlier linked with a move to Arsenal, who cooled their interest as time wore on.
Tottenham made their intentions clear and began negotiations over a loan deal with a potential buy option. The move has now been completed, with Kulusevski set to spend at least the next 18 months at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Initially, it was thought to be a six-month loan deal with a straight obligation to buy at the end of the term. However, Tottenham have managed to structure the deal that has appealed to Juventus to agreeing terms with them for the 21-year-old forward.
It is confirmed that Kulusevski will be procured on an initial 18-month loan move, with Spurs having the option to buy him in the summer of 2023. Tottenham will pay Juventus a €10 million loan fee. They will then have the option to purchase the Swede permanently for €35 million, to be paid over five years.
If Spurs exercise the buy option, Juventus will have made a decent profit over their outlay on Kulusevski. The Swede is not the only player moving out of Juventus to join the north London club, as Rodrigo Bentancur has joined Tottenham on a permanent move.
It is a good move for Spurs, who had been dealt a blow so far in their search for a wide attacker. Kulusevski will surely offset their previous loss in the chases for Luis Diaz and Adama Traore, who decided against joining Tottenham.
