Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Andre Silva, and are ready to offer Luka Jovic as part of the deal to sign the 25-year-old.
According to a report by German publication Bild, the long line of suitors for Andre Silva continues to expand, with Real Madrid now showing an interest in him. The reigning La Liga champions are keen on swooping the 25-year-old away from Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt and are ready to include Luka Jovic in the deal to sign him.
Andre Silva has found a new lease of life since joining Eintracht Frankfurt from AC Milan. Initially signed on loan by the Bundesliga club, the Portuguese forward made enough of an impression to be signed permanently last summer. And, the decision has been vindicated, with Silva producing an astonishing tally of 26 goals and 9 assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.
His incredible progress this season has unsurprisingly piqued the interest of a number of top clubs across Europe, with recent reports even suggesting that Manchester United were leading Barcelona in the race to sign Silva. And now, Real Madrid have emerged as a suitor in pursuit of the 25-year-old.
The central striker’s berth is one of two positions in the Real Madrid squad that do not need to be bolstered with a world class option heading into the summer transfer window. However, it is also important to note that Los Blancos have been over-dependent on Karim Benzema for a few years now, with Mariano Diaz being a bit-part player and Luka Jovic failing to step up.
Jovic has not impressed much on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt either and is likely to be offloaded this summer. And, the Serb’s situation has sparked an idea at Real Madrid, who are willing to include him in a deal to sign Andre Silva, thereby bringing down his €40 million price tag.

Apart from Silva, Real Madrid have been linked with Romelu Lukaku, Erling Haaland and others, but could have to end their interest in each of those marquee names, considering the money that will be involved in signing them. Instead, by including Jovic in a deal for Silva, the Merengues’ total outlay would be around €20 million.
What now remains to be seen is if Eintracht Frankfurt entertain such an offer from Real Madrid, or if the Spanish giants are forced to set their sights elsewhere in search of striking reinforcement. For now, it looks like Andre Silva is another striker who has emerged on Real Madrid’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
