Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah were the heroes in the second half as Liverpool came from behind to beat Tottenham 2-1 at Anfield on Sunday.
Tottenham took a shock lead in the first minute when Son Heung-min’s long-range shot was deflected onto the crossbar, with Harry Kane scoring from the rebound. Liverpool were then unable to find a way past a gritty Spurs defence and a solid Paulo Gazzaniga until the 52nd minute, when captain Jordan Henderson levelled things up with a fine finish.
The Reds were subsequently in the ascendancy before getting the chance to take the lead when Sadio Mane was felled in the Tottenham box by Serge Aurier. Mohamed Salah took the resulting penalty and made no mistake in converting from the spot. Liverpool would manage to hold on to their slender advantage thereafter, and Salah was unsurprisingly lauded by fans.
Mo Salah now has 50 goals in 58 Anfield appearances.
Unstoppable.
Irresistible.

Mohamed Salah scores his 50th goal at Anfield in 58 games. Remarkable record. Only #LFC player to ever get to a half century at home in fewer games was Roger Hunt (55 games).

Jordan Henderson went from zero to hero, scoring the equaliser after being one of the culprits for Tottenham’s goal when he lost the ball ahead of Spurs’ move. And Liverpool fans hailed the captain for the turnaround.
Stick this in your Hendo-bashing pipes and smoke it ?? pic.twitter.com/vEQr9Iz3N5

Also Hendo can you give the moaners a reason to shut up? They’re hurting my brain today.

Can you hear the popping?
It’s Hendo haters little brains.

Great goal that from Hendo, gets so much stick from certain quarters but he’s a player who never gives up and rarely gets the credit he deserves.

Before anyone has a cry at me – I couldn’t be happier that he did what all great captains do (yes, he’s a great captain) and influenced the win. https://t.co/CeQMuMWqMI

Fabinho, though, was the man who bossed the game for Liverpool and was praised from all quarters by fans.
Fabinho, right now, on this form, is the best defensive midfielder in the world.
— Kloppholic (@Kloppholic) October 27, 2019
I am still yet to see Fabinho drop anything below a 7/10 in terms of performance. Another masterclass today.
— Kloppholic (@Kloppholic) October 27, 2019
Don’t want to get political but reckon Fabinho could block Brexit.
— The Redmen TV (@TheRedmenTV) October 27, 2019
No words to describe how good Fabinho was today

Fabinho is world class through and through. Monsterous at winning back the ball, superb playmaker, always an option to pass and is sublime at breaking the lines with high passes over and in-behind the opposition’s defense. One of the best defensive midfielders in the world.

Fabinho is the best midfielder in world football and don’t you forget it
