Chelsea new signing Christian Pulisic does not make the starting lineup for their Premier League opening game against Manchester United.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has decided not to hand new arrival Christian Pulisic his first Premier League start in their 2019-20 Premier League season opener against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The USMNT star has been named on the bench by the former Blues’ midfielder in his first competitive game in-charge, after having replaced Maurizio Sarri this summer. Instead, the Chelsea attack on the day features two academy products in the form of Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount, while Ross Barkley and Pedro add the experience in the final third.

N’Golo Kante also misses out of the starting XI, having not been involved heavily during the pre-season due to fitness problems. Instead, Mateo Kovacic, whose loan move from Real Madrid was made permanent this summer, features from kick-off along with Italian international Jorginho.
Kepa Arrizabalaga starts in goal for Chelsea. Captain Cesar Azpilicueta and Emerson Palmieri take up the full-back slots for the West Londoners with Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma pair up at the heart of the defence.
